Terms and Conditions of Use

This is a Contract between you and VIDLEARN Ltd. VIDLEARN Ltd is registered in England and Wales under registered number 05732487 and has its registered office and main trading address at Basepoint Business Centre, Oakfield Close, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire GL20 8SD.

By proceeding to use this website (collectively, including all content and functionality available through the vidlearn.ac.uk domain) you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below together with our privacy policy.

  1. Definitions

    “Contract” means the terms and conditions set out in this contract between you and us;
    “Privacy Policy” means our privacy notice (found on https://www.vidlearn.ac.uk/privacy) which explains how we and any member of our company may collect, use and protect your information;
    “Service” means (where relevant) the Video-On-Demand, Embedded Software and Document Download Service;
    “VIDLEARN Content” means content available to view or download included within the Service;
    “VIDLEARN Website” means the website accessed at vidlearn.ac.uk and all subdomains;
    “VIDLEARN Member” means both subscribed and unsubscribed registrants of the VIDLEARN Website;
    “VIDLEARN Interactive Software” means the functionality supplied by the website.
    “Course” refers to a set of related recordings, documents, links, assessments, assignments and subject knowledge audits.

  2. VIDLEARN Website

    2.1. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the VIDLEARN Website, including users who are also contributors of video content and documentation.

    2.2. The VIDLEARN Website may contain links to third party websites that are not owned or controlled by VIDLEARN Ltd. VIDLEARN Ltd has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party websites. By using the Website, you expressly relieve VIDLEARN Ltd from any and all liability arising from your use of any third party website.

  3. VIDLEARN Accounts

    3.1. In order to access the VIDLEARN Service you will need an account. The information you supply during registration must be accurate and complete. You are solely responsible for the information you enter. You must not use any other person’s account and you are responsible for the secrecy of your password.

    3.2. You can only use your username to log in to the VIDLEARN Website from one computer at a time.

  4. VIDLEARN Subscriptions

    4.1. Your subscription period will be set up when your account is first created

    4.2. Before the end of the Subscription Period, we will automatically contact you to invite renewal.

    4.3. Full subscriptions do not guarantee access to all Courses.

  5. Access to the VIDLEARN Content

    5.1. The VIDLEARN Content is sectioned into Courses and each Course is wholly owned by VIDLEARN Ltd

    5.2. Access to Individual Courses is at the sole discretion of the Course Owner.

  6. General Use of the VIDLEARN Website

    VIDLEARN Ltd hereby grants you permission to access and use the Website as set forth in these Terms and Conditions of Use, provided that:

    6.1. You agree not to alter or modify any part of the Website

    6.2. You agree not to use any part of the VIDLEARN Website for any commercial use, without the prior written authorisation of VIDLEARN Ltd.

    6.3. You agree not to distribute in any medium any of the recordings, software or associated documentation.

    6.4. You agree not to access VIDLEARN Content through any technology or means other than the video playback pages.

    6.5. You agree not to use any frame grabbing software in order to copy the VIDLEARN content.

  7. Use of the VIDLEARN content

    7.1. The VIDLEARN Content, including interactive software, graphics, photos and videos are owned by or licensed to VIDLEARN Ltd, subject to copyright and other intellectual property rights under the law.

    7.2. The VIDLEARN Content may not be downloaded, copied, reproduced, distributed, transmitted, broadcast, displayed, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any other purposes whatsoever and any such action establishes liability for a civil action and may give rise to criminal prosecution.

    7.3. Content submitted by members using the VIDLEARN Interactive Software may not be downloaded, copied, reproduced, distributed, transmitted, broadcast, displayed, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any other purposes whatsoever.

    7.4. Content submitted by members will be from a variety of sources. VIDLEARN Ltd is not responsible for the accuracy, usefulness, safety or intellectual property rights contained in this content.

    7.5. Documentation associated with recordings and made available for download are provided by and licensed for distribution by VIDLEARN Ltd.

  8. VIDLEARN Member Conduct

    8.1. You shall be solely responsible for your own submissions when using the VIDLEARN Interactive Software and the consequences of posting or publishing them.

    8.2. You will not submit any material using the VIDLEARN Interactive Software that is Copyright protected or subject to third party proprietary rights.

    8.3. You retain ownership rights in your submissions. However, by submitting content using the VIDLEARN Interactive Software you hereby grant VIDLEARN Ltd worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, license to use, reproduce and distribute, this content.

    8.4. VIDLEARN does not endorse any opinion, recommendation, or advice expressed by VIDLEARN Members using the VIDLEARN Interactive Software.

  9. Cancellation or Suspension of the Service

    9.1. You can cancel your subscription to the VIDLEARN service at any time. Your access to the VIDLEARN service will cease at the end of the subscription period.

    9.2. We may immediately suspend your access to the VIDLEARN content and services where:

    9.2.1. technical or operational issues make it necessary
    9.2.2. if you breach the terms of this contract in any way.

  10. Sharing your information with other parties

    VIDLEARN may share information about your application and progress on the course with your ITT provider, our partner providers and the DfE for auditing purposes. This information will not be used for marketing or given to any additional third parties without prior consent.
